Environmental Fluid Mechanics section

The section is involved in research and education at undergraduate, graduate and PhD level.
The main topics of research and education are:

• Elementary Fluid Mechanics and Turbulence in the context of rivers and coastal areas;
• Free-surface waves in coastal zones;
• Erosion, transport and deposition of (cohesive) sediments;
• Fluid structure interaction with emphasis on bed protection.
